Partnerships and Collaborations

At Wellbeing Plus we pride ourselves on the friendships we make, the collaborations we exceed at and the partnerships we forge.

Grenfell Club

We recently delivered a series of craft sessions at The Grenfell Club in Redcar, where participants collaborated to design and create a large seaside-themed wall mural for their main social area. Everyone worked with great enthusiasm and creativity, using real sand to form the beach, blending paints to capture the colours of the sea, and decorating sea and beach animals to bring the scene to life.

The Grenfell staff were fantastic throughout, offering encouragement and support. They even organised visits to the beach, where participants collected shells, pebbles, sea glass, and seaweed. These natural materials were then incorporated into the mural, adding unique textures and authenticity. The finished piece is a wonderful achievement, completed over just three weeks, and a lasting reminder of everyone’s hard work and teamwork.

Dementia Action Teesside

The staff and participants at Wellbeing Plus recently had the privilege of taking part in specialist dementia-friendly training. This invaluable opportunity gave us a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those living with dementia and their carers, while also equipping us with practical skills to better support them in our own community work. The sessions were not only informative and eye-opening but also interactive and enjoyable, helping us to learn in a positive and engaging way.

Since completing the training, we have been actively signposting people to their services and referring individuals who we know would greatly benefit from the dedicated support they provide. Their team delivers a truly fantastic service, and we feel very fortunate to have been invited to several of their events in recent months, which have given us further insight into their work and the difference it makes.

For anyone living with dementia, or for carers supporting a loved one through the condition, we cannot recommend this service highly enough. The team is made up of compassionate, knowledgeable professionals who have the skills, understanding, and resources to guide you every step of the way. Their support can make a huge difference to both individuals and families, and we encourage you to reach out and connect with them. You can find their contact details via the following link:

Enhance Redcar

Enhance Redcar is a relatively new service in the area, but it has already become an invaluable source of support for local charitable organisations, helping them to grow, develop, and reach their full potential. Since connecting with their team, Wellbeing Plus has benefitted greatly from their guidance and expertise. With their support, we were able to successfully amend our constitution, which has expanded our remit and now allows us to provide meaningful help to younger residents within the community as well as adults.

We have also taken part in a number of their excellent training opportunities, including safeguarding vulnerable adults, safeguarding children, and first aid, among others. These courses have been extremely beneficial in strengthening our knowledge, skills, and confidence, ensuring that we are better equipped to support the individuals who attend our groups, as well as the wider community.

We are committed to continuing our partnership with Enhance Redcar and building on this positive relationship. By working together, we can make sure that Wellbeing Plus delivers the highest possible standard of service, offering safe, inclusive, and effective support for all who come through our doors.

At Wellbeing Plus we are constantly striving to help and support the people we work with, which means we are always looking to see what other services are available to them. By referring into these services, we are ensuring that, not only are our service users benefitting from the help and support provided by us at Wellbeing Plus. But that they are also getting additional help and support from other local services.
